The Catholic Mothers Ireland (CMI) has been officially granted charity status by the Charity Commission NI.

“This recognition by the Charity Commission is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and supporters. We look forward to reaching more women and families, offering practical support, faith formation, and a sense of belonging,” said Sinéad Strong, Co-Founder and Director.

CMI works to create “welcoming spaces for mothers to share their faith, build friendship, and receive guidance based on Catholic values,” the – now – charity said. “With charity status, the organisation can now access additional funding opportunities, form partnerships with other charities and public bodies, and maintain greater transparency and accountability for donors and users.”

“As a registered charity, CMI will be able to expand its outreach programmes, initiate new projects, and offer enhanced resources to both its members and the wider
community.”
