Holy Family Church in Ardfinnan, Co. Tipperary, will soon become the home of a first-class relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis – set to be canonised as the Church’s first Millennial saint on September 7 by Pope Leo XIV. Fr Michael Toomey PP will travel to Assisi following the canonisation Mass in Rome to receive a relic from the Bishop of Assisi.

The relic will find its permanent home in the parish shrine, which already features a life-sized statue, an interactive biography, and a livestream of Carlo’s tomb. Thousands have already visited since its installation in January.

“Carlo is a powerful example of faith for young people,” said Fr Toomey. “He inspires with his love for the Eucharist and his relatable life—computers, football, and everyday holiness.”

The installation Mass will be held on Sunday, October 12 at 12 noon. All are welcome to visit the shrine and venerate the relic.
