A year-long formation programme in Rome is now open to Irish applicants aged 18–30, offering young lay people the opportunity to study, pray and live in community at the Irish College in Rome.
The initiative, based at the Irish College in Rome, was developed over several years as a semester programme and is now in its second year. According to Eoin McCormack of the Irish College, the initiative is designed to support young adults “who are searching for their vocation, who want to grow deeper in the faith”.
Formation is structured around four pillars identified by St John Paul II: spiritual, human, intellectual and pastoral development. Participants undertake accredited theological studies in the first semester, before shifting focus toward spiritual accompaniment, community life and discernment.
“This is a space for personal faith, spiritual development, and discernment,” Mr McCormack said. “If you’re not sure where the Lord is calling you, this is an ideal opportunity to be accompanied in that
process.”
