The Fossa Climate Action Group is welcoming scientific and spiritual perspectives to their November 30 event titled ‘The Web of Life: How do we care for our common home?’. The event hopes to address growing concern for the warming climate’s effect on Co. Kerry’s landscapes.

Dr Brendan O’Keeffe, a Kerry-based geographer and social scientist, will speak on climate change’s direct, visible effect on the county in his talk ‘What does science tell us about Kerry’s
changing climate?’.

Fossa Climate Action Group also welcomes Laudato Si’ animator Sylvia Thompson, who works as an activist campaigning for ecological sustainability and is a member of the Diocese of Kerry Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation Committee. Ms Thompson will offer a spiritual perspective to the question of climate action in her talk ‘What do spirituality and ethics say to us about caring for our common home?’.

The event takes place at Fossa Church on November 30 at 4.30pm.
