Archbishop of Cashel and Emly Kieran O’Reilly has announced clerical appointments taking effect from the weekend of August 23-24. The appointments are as follows:
- Fr Thomas Lanigan-Ryan, PP Ballina & Boher to undertake a one year sabbatical programme 2025 – 2026.
- Fr Danny O’Gorman, PP Mullinahone, Adm. Drangan & Cloneen to become PP Ballina & Boher
- Fr Jimmy O’Donnell, PP Killenaule & Moyglass to become Adm. Drangan & Cloneen
- Fr Derry Quirke, PP Ballingarry to be Adm. of Mullinahone
- Fr John Littleton, Director the Priory Institute, Tallaght, Dublin, to return to the archdiocese. Fr Littleton to undertake a sabbatical year 2025 – 2026.
- Fr Joe Walsh, PP Anacarty & Donohill, to retire as part-time Chaplain to MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles.
